Do you ever look at some of the relics of the past and think to yourself, "Wow, there's no way this wasn't built by an extraterrestrial!"
It's hard to believe our forefathers managed to accomplish so much with so little technological advancement. However, while we can discuss the intelligence and admire the architecture of civilizations before us, handing the credit to aliens would be a bit much, don’t you think?
Memories of the Past
In all honesty, praising extraterrestrials would be unfair to the civilizations that walked the earth before you and discredit their hard work. These buildings, ruins, statues, and writings on the wall that they left us are a way for them to give you a peek into their lives and lifestyle.
You’ll never know that maybe somewhere in the world, 100 years later, an archeologist would come across an iPhone, and they’ll find proof of people living life in quarantine.
So, here are some locations that are definitely not made by Aliens (though they may look like it).
1. Sacsayhuaman
Located right outside the old Inca capital of Cusco, there's a fortress named Sacsayhuaman, built from huge-sized stones that look like part of a giant jigsaw puzzle. This unique placement of the rocks led many people to believe that there might be something extraterrestrial about the making of the 1000-year-old interlocking fortress.
2. Nazca Lines
You can find these more than 800 long straight white lines in the Peruvian desert, on a high and dry plateau located 200 miles from southeast Lima. These peculiar lines are also accompanied by 300 geometric shapes and carved pictures of animals like spiders, hummingbirds, and monkeys.
Anyone who has studied history might know that this is called a geoglyph, and they were created as a way to please the gods and in an effort to call for some rain in the desert. See? Humans are pretty cool on their own.
3. Stonehenge
Out of all the ones that are mentioned in this list, this one gets the most attention. This is mainly because it is a huge circle consisting of stones that weigh as much as 50 tonnes. Some people claim that it is a model based on the solar system, while others are in complete agreement that this was once an alien helipad.
Alien-built or not, one thing is for sure. These sites are undeniably worth a visit.
